How often do you stop to take proper time out for yourself? If you are like me... the answer is not often enough.
There's no doubt that we have such busy lives - it’s easy to rush through the week without taking a moment to slow down. That’s why Self-Care Sundays are such a beautiful ritual... they are a chance to reset, recharge, and reconnect with yourself before a new week begins. And what better way to do that than through nurturing, natural skincare?
Give our mini-routine a try this weekend...
Start by setting the scene: light a candle, play some soft music, and create a little sanctuary in your bathroom.
Begin with a gentle cleanse to wash away the week - both physically and emotionally. A natural oil cleanser with ingredients like Jojoba or Sweet Almond oil will melt away makeup and impurities while leaving your skin soft and nourished.
Next, treat your skin to a soothing face mask. Choose a clay suited to your skin type or even a fresh botanical to detoxify and calm your complexion. As it works its magic, take a few deep breaths, close your eyes, and let the stillness sink in.
Follow with a toner or facial mist to hydrate, then massage a few drops of your favourite facial oil into your skin. This mindful moment of touch not only improves circulation but also signals your body to relax.
Don’t forget to care for your body too... a warm bath with essential oils like Lavender, Rose or Geranium can soothe tension and elevate your mood. Use a loofa or exfoliating glove to reach all parts of your body... back, booty and boobs!
Finally, lather yourself with a rich body balm or lotion to seal in moisture and leave your skin glowing.
