About Sage Cosmetic Coaching
Sage Cosmetic Coaching, was established in late 2017 by Lu* Wilson and Polly McCourt, two self professed skincare nerds. With over 25 years experience in the natural health and natural skincare industries between us, we bring a wealth of knowledge and we love to share our passion for natural skincare.
Our goal is to inspire our makers to get hands-on, creative, think about the type of product they use on their skin, the way in which commercial cosmetics impact the environment and the sustainability of ingredients.
We seek to empower others with the learning they need to create amazing skincare products and to continue their exploration of different ingredients, discovering their unique personal preferences for scents and skin feel. We aim to guide and support our customers in the creative process, providing up to date information, beautiful natural ingredients and a load of inspiration.
Meet the Team
Lu* Wilson - Co-Founder & General ManagerLu has spent nearly 20 years in the natural skincare industry, blending expertise with a deep love for botanicals. From lavender fields in France to the Valley of the Roses in Bulgaria, she’s explored the world’s most beautiful ingredients and brought their stories to life. Today, whether she’s formulating, teaching, or writing for Sage, Lu is driven by one mission: to share her knowledge and inspire others to embrace natural skincare with confidence.
Polly McCourt - Co-Founder & Head EducatorPolly is a qualified naturopath and herbalist with more than 17 years of experience in the natural skincare industry. Passionate about plants and their healing properties, she loves sharing her knowledge to empower others to create their own products. Polly brings joy and inspiration to every workshop, sparking curiosity and confidence in those she teaches. She treasures the connections she makes along the way—whether it’s through a friendly chat, a good giggle, or hearing how people weave nature into their everyday lives.
Susanna Conti - Educator
Lively, sharp, and endlessly curious, Susanna is a workshop facilitator who thrives on sharing her deep knowledge of natural skincare. With her own skincare brand and expertise as a cosmetic formulator, she brings both creativity and technical precision to every class. Her vivacious style makes learning fun, while her practical know-how ensures participants walk away with skills they can use and adapt at home.
Alyssa Naccarella - Studio ManagerAlyssa is the beating heart of the Sage studio—our manager who somehow keeps everything running smoothly while making sure there’s always room for fun. Kind, caring, and a little bit silly, she brings balance and calm to the busy flow of workshops and behind-the-scenes magic. With an artistic eye and an adventurous spirit, Alyssa adds creativity to everything she touches. She’s currently studying naturopathy which beautifully complements the world of natural skincare we live and breathe at Sage.
Mia Cicala - EducatorMia brings a fresh energy to Sage, blending her background in cosmetic formulation with her qualifications in teaching. A natural educator and motivated go-getter, she has a gift for making even complex concepts easy to understand. When she’s not guiding students through skincare making, she’s pouring her creativity into candle making—another way she connects with natural materials and craft. Driven yet approachable, Mia empowers learners to dive in and enjoy the process.
Nelly Jacobson - Educator
Nelly is our resident fun-bringer and storyteller, specialising in child education and youth workshops. With a natural gift for connecting with kids and teens, she brings energy, creativity, and a sense of play to every session. Whether it’s a school holiday workshop or a teen birthday party, Nelly knows how to spark curiosity, laughter, and confidence in young makers—helping them discover the joy of creating their own products in a way that feels exciting and empowering.
