We love essential oils! You already know that right? Well today we wanted to focus on a few of our favourites that are ideal for supporting the female body. These essential oils offer both emotional and physiological benefits... plus they are perfect to include in your natural skincare formulations.
1. Bergamot oil has a delightfully gentle citrus aroma. It helps to lift the spirit when feeling a little gloomy and can boost confidence and positivity. It is recognised as helping relieve PMS symptoms and is an excellent oil to use if you are a new mum and feeling some of the baby blues.
2. Geranium oil offers a deep, sweet floral scent. It is an impressive balancing oil both for the skin and for your emotions. It is said to calm anxiousness and creates inner peace and equilibrium. This is an excellent choice for helping to balance hormones and supporting female cycles.
3. Jasmine oil has an opulent, perfumistic floral aroma with fresh, sweet notes. It is wonderfully uplifting and promotes happiness. It combats negativity and gloom. It helps to relieve nervous tension with soothing and calming properties. It is also recognised as a sensual oil and strong aphrodisiac.
4. Neroli oil is a beautiful sweet floral. It has a hypnotic, almost euphoric effect. Renowned for its calming, soothing and relaxin properties, this is your go-to oil when feeling pressure. It acts as a tonic to the body and can help alleviate headaches, insomnia and PMS symptoms.
5. Rose oil is the ultimate female oil. A rich, sweet scent that is truly characteristic of the flower. It is a powerful emotional support, helping you move through grief, resentment and other challenges feelings. Plus, it instils self-love and confidence. It is a great body tonic - helpful for all hormonal related ailments.
6. Ylang Ylang oil has a rich, exotic heady floral scent with sweet overtones. It promotes joy while relaxing nerves and diminishing anxiety. It can support the reproductive system and is noted as being beneficial post caesarean. It is a beautiful addition to massage oil and can increase sensuaity.
