Here are some of our favourite essential oils to help you drift off peacefully:
Lavender oil – The queen of calm. Lavender is renowned for its ability to reduce the impact of stress and anxiety while promoting deep, restful sleep. Add a few drops to your pillow, vaporiser or bedtime bath.
Chamomile oil – With its soft, apple-like aroma, this oil is deeply soothing and especially helpful if you struggle with restlessness or insomnia. Perfect for winding down after a long day. It is also a great option for young children.
Cedarwood Atlas oil – Grounding and earthy, Cedarwood helps slow a racing mind. It’s especially lovely when blended with Lavender or Frankincense in a vaporiser by your bed.
Frankincense oil – Known for its meditative qualities, Frankincense promotes slower, deeper breathing and encourages a sense of peace. It’s a beautiful addition to your bedtime routine.
To make the most of these oils, try creating a simple sleep blend in a roller bottle, vaporise them in your room before bed, or add a few drops to a warm foot bath. Keep it gentle, consistent and intentional... creating a ritual that tells your body, it’s time to rest.
