As big fans of natural skincare, you gotta believe it when we say that we have tried almost EVERY type of natural deodorant under the sun. So, trust us when we tell you this... there is no perfect natural deodorant that suits everyone. There are sprays, roll-ons, pastes, crystals and more, but what is great for one person, doesn't necessarily suit the next guy.
Here at Sage, we're all about options. In our Body Care Workshop, we teach a fabulous roll-on deodorant formulation, but if you like a paste better - give this little gem a try. This simple to follow recipe gives you the opportunity to make your own product from home and reuse your packaging, saving on plastic waste. Plus, it has no bicarb, so suits the most sensitive skin.
Step 1: Measure out Beeswax, Cocoa Butter, Castor and Almond oil in a beaker or similar glass vessel.
Step 2: Heat gently in a double boiler until all wax and butter is melted.
Step 3: Take off heat and stir in White clay until combined.
Step 4: Add Vitamin E, mix well.
Step 5: Add Lavender, Petitgrain and Patchouli oil, mix well.
Step 6: While still liquid, pour into your container and let completely cool before putting lid on.
Apply a pea sized amount into your armpits and enjoy all day!
